Both fixed and retractable starlight systems can transform an ordinary vehicle interior into a premium nighttime experience, but they are designed for different vehicles and customer needs.

A traditional fixed starlight headliner is normally created by removing the original headliner and installing individual fiber-optic points throughout the material. It is a strong choice for vehicles with conventional solid roofs and for customers who want personalized constellations, logos, initials, or other custom patterns. However, the installation process is generally more involved and requires considerably more labor.
A retractable starlight roof integrates fiber-optic lighting into a movable sunshade. When closed, it creates the illuminated starlight effect and helps reduce direct sunlight and glare. When opened, it preserves the view through the panoramic glass roof.
LGK’s new-generation retractable system is designed with ultra-fine fiber-optic points, a compact light engine, a premium soft-touch finish, smooth and quiet movement, and full-color dynamic lighting effects. Selected configurations also support mobile-app control, remote control, a physical button, and English voice commands.

The best option depends on the vehicle’s roof design. A fixed starlight headliner may be more suitable for a conventional roof or a highly customized pattern. A retractable system is generally the better solution for vehicles with panoramic glass roofs when the owner wants both luxury lighting and everyday functionality.
LGK Auto Styling offers professional guidance based on each vehicle’s make, model, year, and roof configuration.
